Corporate and Foundation Giving

The Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations is a central university office that helps to foster relationships between Howard University and companies and private professional foundations. As part of the Office of Development & Alumni Relations, we help work hand-in-hand with Howard University’s schools and colleges to represent the university to corporate and foundation constituents and form partnerships to advance mutual goals that align wit the university’s research and teaching mission.

We can help companies and foundations navigate the university, find faculty and programs of interest, and arrange for campus meetings. We can also facilitate funding requests, awards, and reporting, and help illuminate campus research funding policies.

For the University Community

The Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations is dedicated to fostering and strengthening relationships between corporations and foundations and the Howard University community. We represent the broad priorities of the university, its colleges and programs, and promote opportunities to engage and support Howard University’s academic, research and public outreach initiatives.

Corporate and Foundation Relations assists Howard University faculty and staff in transforming innovative ideas into fundable projects that align with the priorities of potential funders. We also manage relationships with corporations and foundations to coordinate multi-faceted engagement across campus.

The CFR team is available to assist Howard University faculty and staff with:

  • Identify funders and on-campus collaborations
  • Frame project ideas to improve funding potential
  • Develop cultivation strategies and contact funders
  • Develop stewardship strategies
