HU Stigma Project

Stigma, when associated with HIV, another medical condition, mental illness or disability, prevents a person from seeking evaluation and treatment, disclosing the diagnosis to those most likely to provide support, and following treatment guidelines. Health related stigma destroys human dignity. The Howard University Stigma Project serves as a hub for research, advocacy, training, and education to combat health-related stigma through a social justice and health equity lens. Your donations will support our annual International Conference on Stigma as well as our efforts to combat stigma year-round.
