What started as the Founders Walk Brick Paver Program has grown to become so popular that the campaign may expand to other parts of the campus. Now is the time to purchase your brick.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many names or words will fit on the brick?
The maximum number of lines on a brick is two. A third line may be added for an additional cost. Each line has a maximum of 18 characters, including spaces and punctuation. Do not include the asterisk (*) or the “at sign” (@).
May I add Greek symbols to my brick?
Yes. Each of the Greek symbols is available to select for your brick. Please use the guide provided on the order screen to select specific Greek symbols.
What may NOT be included on a brick?
Please refrain from using any messages that are disrespectful or offensive. Also, do not include the asterisk (*) or the “at sign” (@). Howard University reserves the right of refusal for messages deemed inappropriate.
Where on campus will my brick be installed?
Bricks are installed on campus between the President’s House and the School of Social Work on the Sixth Street side. Due to the exponential growth of the brick campaign, more site locations are being considered for installation.
How long does it take for my brick to be installed on the campus?
After you have submitted your order and payment, you will receive an electronic confirmation. Brick installations occur two times per year, in advance of Commencement and Homecoming weekends. Your order must be received at least four weeks prior to these events.
How much does it cost to purchase a brick?
Brick costs vary depending on the type of brick purchased. Costs are:
Family Legacy Pavers $ 500.00
Inner Circle Brick $ 250.00
Pathfinder Brick $100.00
Keepsake Replica Brick $40.00
How will I receive my replica brick?
Replica bricks will be delivered to you directly via mail to the address included on the order form. You also may arrange with the Development and Alumni Relations office to pick up your replica bricks on campus.
